Skill Development Program

World Youth Skill Day

To live a self-reliant life, it is necessary to learn some skills.

Although India has a huge population, its population of skilled people is very low. If you wish to start a business, it becomes very difficult to find people with special skills. As a result, development suffers. To meet this shortage of skilled labour, JGPSS has started programs to train people.

JGPSS is empaneled with the Maharashtra State Skill Development Society, Mumbai. This has made it possible for us to train several young people in vermicompost production (in 2016-17) who were then able to work with farmers. This has given a boost to organic farming. We have also been successful in imparting agricultural skills and know-how about the production of organic manure to young people.

Entrepreneurship Development in Agri-Business (EDAB), in the Garments Department, is underway. Training will also be given in hand-embroidery and traditional embroidery skills. Besides teaching them high-quality production, they will also be trained in the field of marketing. As a result of our initiatives, young people are now becoming more receptive to new ideas. JGPSS is making sincere efforts to generate employment. Going ahead, JGPSS has plans to build a modern training center, which will train people in various fields of work.
